Brewing a Sustainable Future: Dilmah’s Triple Innovation and Top 5 Global Recognition at SIAL Paris 2026

When it comes to tea, tradition and innovation don't always brew in the same pot. But for Dilmah, pushing the boundaries of what tea can be—while staying rooted in purpose and sustainability—has always been the name of the game.

Ahead of SIAL Paris 2026 (taking place October 17–21 at Paris Nord Villepinte), Dilmah has secured an impressive double recognition on the global stage, proving that purpose-driven business is the ultimate form of innovation.

A Triple Threat: SIAL Innovation Selection 2026

An independent jury of international food-industry experts has selected three standout Dilmah creations for the prestigious SIAL Innovation Paris 2026 Selection. These products will be showcased in the exclusive SIAL Innovation Area for their originality, technical flair, and environmental impact:

  • Dilmah Sparkling Iced Tea Collection (Consumer Goods) – A refreshing, effervescent take on classic iced tea, perfect for elevated social sipping.
  • Elevrie Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Tea Collection (White, Red, Rosé) (Consumer Goods) – Sophisticated non-alcoholic alternatives that bring the complexity of teas together in a sparkling blend.
  • Windsor Forest Luxury Tea and Herb Collection (Equipment & Technology) – Recognized for its breakthrough home-compostable cotton tea bag, merging luxury tea experiences with zero-waste packaging.

Shortlisted as a Top 5 Finalist for ‘SIAL For Change’

Beyond product innovation, Dilmah has also been named one of just five global finalists in the Large Companies category for ‘SIAL For Change’—a new 2026 competition celebrating sustainability, ethics, and social responsibility across the global agri-food industry.

Through the MJF Charitable Foundation (established in 2002) and Dilmah Conservation (established in 2007), the company channels 15% of its pre-tax profits straight back into community welfare and environmental protection.

Reflecting on this milestone, Dilhan C. Fernando, Chairman of Dilmah, shared:

“This recognition from SIAL, one of the world’s most respected food and sustainability platforms, reflects a philosophy my father built more than four decades ago- that genuine innovation and genuine sustainability are the same pursuit, and that a business should exist to serve people and protect nature, not merely to profit from them. Being named among just five large companies worldwide, out of 226 entries, alongside the selection of three of our products for their innovation,  is recognition of that pursuit across every part of our business.”

Looking Ahead

As the culinary and agri-food world gathers in Paris this October 2026, Dilmah’s achievements serve as a powerful reminder that the future of food belongs to brands that care deeply about what’s in the cup in Australia and the world outside the window.
