Rilhena Estate is located near the Pelmadulla town in the Ratnapura District. Tea was introduced to Rilhena in the latter part of the 19th century with its factory being constructed in 1914. The Rilhena factory is located at an elevation of 153 metres above sea leavel. Dilmah operates the first tea concentrate plant in Sri Lanka at this estate in South Central Sri Lanka. At the scenically located plant, fresh tea is converted to a high quality concentrate the same day, to make ready to drink and iced tea.
